1 Simple Game was built under the premise of entertain the world, developing incredible and enjoyable experiences for our players regardless of rain, snow or zombie invasions.

Video games offer 1 Simple Game the opportunity to combine art, technology, programming, storytelling, marketing, and sound in unique ways that can entertain and inspire their players. Through their collaborative effort, they strive to build a healthy ecosystem that will both allow people sharing the same ideals to work making the best experiences for a worldwide audience for many years, and serve as a reference on how Mexico and LATAM can compete on a global scale.

To start off, you crash landed on a planet where you have to collect jelly and defeat the enemies. While doing this, there is a looped music track that is a jam. It’s really good and only adds some more instruments to it when you are in combat. It doesn’t change to another track. The track really fits with the game play and the combat mechanics.

After watching the trailer and jumping into the game, it’s time to button mash some light attacks and destroy the first enemies. The first enemies are a melee based enemy that jump on you to attack. Which you can easily dodge. When you are dodging or getting past obstacles, you actually turn into your slimy jelly form. This way you can also earn some extra jelly bucks by popping into your natural form under some jelly reservoirs that you can pop open by popping up. Next to that the enemies do give you some jelly bucks as well. Not all jelly reservoirs give you jelly, as some might give you some health.

After you finish a level, the merchant will pop up with two random skills that you can buy with your jelly bucks. These skills either give you better attack stats, defense stats or even charged skills that need to charge before getting used by for example killing enemies. After you bought a skill (if you had enough jelly bucks) you can go through the portal onto the next level. Be sure to explore the whole level firstly before actually going through the next portal, you might’ve missed some jelly!

In the next levels there are more enemies introduced, some range based enemies as well. And the tempo is a bit higher, but nothing too difficult so far. When we reached the boss the game was one. We got destroyed pretty quickly, thinking that we need to gather some more skills before we can actually take the boss on. After you ‘die’ or rather finish your first run by getting defeated, you are teleported back to the lobby.

The game is teasing a lot in the lobby, they’re showing off three characters, where we were only able to play one. There are two more Nojellian soldiers that you will be able to play with in the full release. The funny part is that the soldiers are displayed with a yellow sign reading WIP “Too wobbly! Needs more time in the fridge.”. Next to that the game also teases us with a skill tree that will also be available in the full release. Next to the skills you can buy and the skill tree, I think the Nojellians can definitely take a stance in their war!

“I do love it when the title of an article just seems so easy to fall into my lap. If you don’t get the pun in this one, I don’t know what to say. “I’m Not Jelly” is cute, whimsical and fun. Let me just first get this out now. Without giving you some long drawn out introduction, I want to just put this out on the table now. This demo was fun for me to play. Plain and simple.
I want to give praise to the developer, 1 Simple Game, which I am in love with the name of their company, in creating this game.”

Beta Tested, Game Reviewed — I’m Not Jelly - G.Round Playtest

“I’m Not Jelly’s playtest shows its strong foundation while also laying its full release roadmap out clearly to players highlighting the direction the game is going to go.
The game currently features a dungeon crawler approach allowing players to clear room by room until reaching the boss for the level.
Enemies come in a variety with different attacks and abilities ranging from melee to ranged attacks, and even abilities to spawn more enemies to attack you. You start off pretty basic, but thanks to the shops in some of the rooms you can slowly build your character how you want it.”
